Through the Motions

Hello all! First off, Happy Easter! He is risen! What a wonderful day to celebrate! I have been told by many that I should think about creating a blog because I have some funny stories...Although I do not find myself interesting...AT ALL...here it goes...While trying to think of a semi-fitting name for my blog, the lyrics to a Matthew West song "Through the Motions" popped into my head. I thought it was fitting because it kind of represents my view on life right now.

"This might hurt, it's not safe, But I know that I've gotta make a change

I don't care if I break, At least I'll be feeling something'

I think this song should be in the back of every Christians minds on a daily basis. We shouldn't be going through the motions, we should be giving everything we have to God. The line "I dont wanna go one more day, without your all consuming passion inside of me" makes me feel so guilty about my priorities in life. Can you imagine how people would act if they were as passionate about God as they were about college football or Black Friday shopping?
